Welcome to day 10 of Incandescent's 10 Days of Messages to Myself - whoops! I meant to write 365 days, but maybe that's a premonition! I mean I have a bunch more recorded but anyway, today's original message that I recorded who knows when, I actually DID NOT LIKE. The original message was like "it's a day, enjoy it!" And I don't have much in me atm, so I thought I'd improvise you a musical message instead but when I sat to do that, I didn't like how that was sounding either so what you got is the second and a half reading of a stream of conscious poem copied below:

Okay there I did it

I'm writing you a song instead of improvising it

Though I admit I'm mostly just freely reading the lyrics

Without much of a plan

Cuz that's just the way I am

You know I yam what I yam

And anyway, I got a pressure in my brain

To say the perfect thing

And I know there it no perfect thing

Except for you

Oh baby I know you know it's true

Get in the mirror and do what you do

You are a masterpiece

And I am too

But guess what?

I can dish out compliments

But I can't take them

And I am so scared of

Ever bein fake that

I am way too honest for my own good

But I tell myself that it's for good

And I'm gonna use it right now

In the power of the words we're singing

So we're gonna use them today and tomorrow okay

Let's go

Let's start with a message we all need

All thoughts of anything that isn't thee

And by thee I mean Love

The Divine Love expressing itself

So fully

Through you you know it's true

I'm sorry I use baby all the time

In my songwriting but it rhymes

With so many things

And it's a great way to say

You're a child of the Earth

A child of the Universe

And you are loved and all is well

And anyway back to the original thing

I was starting to say

About any thoughts happening today

That are not okay

They're not welcome any more

You are freed now from the chore

Of having to analyze everything

Alchemizing and depressurizing

What if today, dear child

You give it all up now to the Lord

Whatever that is to you for sure

It can be whatever feels best and more

And I believe

All harmful thoughts just have to leave

They've been asked so politely

But now it's time

We are free for life

I guess I don't need a meditation disclaimer on a musical message. That feels good.
