  • Jesus Opens Our Eyes to Recognize Him
    2026/04/15

    The Focus: Recognizing the Risen Christ

    Scripture: Luke 24:30–32

    This week in our “Risen Indeed” journey, we step onto the road to Emmaus, walking with the disciples blinded by confusion and sorrow. They didn’t recognize Jesus beside them until He broke bread at their table—and suddenly, their eyes were opened.

    How often do we miss His presence, tangled in our own routines, doubts, or disappointments?

    Yet Jesus is risen indeed, alive and present, longing to reveal Himself in the ordinary and the everyday.

    He meets us on the road, in our questions and struggles. He’s not far off, but walking right beside us—patient, gentle, waiting for the moment our hearts are ready to see.

    This week, let’s slow down. Let’s ask Jesus to open our eyes, to recognize His nearness in the signs in nature of a new season and in the kindness of others. The risen Lord is with us—may our hearts burn within us as we realize it.

    Let us pray:

    Risen Jesus, just as You opened the eyes of the disciples at Emmaus, open my eyes to see Your presence today.

    Break bread with me in the ordinary moments, and stir my heart with wonder at the signs of Your goodness around me.

    When I am slow to believe or distracted by sorrow, awaken me to the miracles of Your love and the nearness of Your Spirit.

    Let my heart burn within me as I recognize Your hand at work in my life.

    Fill me with hope, awe, and gratitude for all You have done, and help me share Your wonder with others. Amen.

  • His Reassuring Presence in Our Work
    2026/04/13

    Good morning, Workplace Prayer Community,

    As we continue our journey from Easter to Pentecost, let us welcome the risen Jesus into our workplaces.

    This season is a call to invite His hope, peace, and joy into every part of our work and lives.

    Today, our focus is His Reassuring Presence in our work.

    In John 20:19, Jesus appears to His disciples and says, “Peace be with you.”

    As He brought peace behind their closed doors, so He brings peace to us amid uncertainty.

    Let us pray:

    Lord Jesus, bring your peace to our workplace—let your reassuring presence calm our hearts and renew our confidence as we begin this week.

    May your nearness fill our tasks and conversations with hope and joy. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!

    May the Lord bless you and keep you;

    May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;

    May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

    Amen.

  • Jesus Brings Peace when Facing Fear and Grief
    2026/04/08

    Our Focus today: Peace in the Midst of Uncertainty

    Scripture: John 20:19–21

    For the next seven Wednesdays, we’ll journey together toward Pentecost—the outpouring of the Spirit and the birth of the New Testament church. In this bright new season, our focus is on the risen Jesus and His visits with His friends. Each story is a window into the hope He offers us still.

    Today, we step into that upper room after the resurrection. The disciples are hiding, hearts weighed down by fear and grief, their dreams shattered. Maybe you know that feeling—doors locked by anxiety, spirit heavy with uncertainty. Yet Jesus appears, not to scold, but to comfort. His first words then are His words to you now: “Peace be with you.”

    You don’t have to fix yourself or overcome your fear. Jesus comes to you exactly where you are. His peace isn’t earned; it’s a gift. He steps through every barrier—grief, doubt, worry—and fills our hearts with hope and a promise of His presence. This week, let those words settle deep within. No matter how thick the walls or heavy the sorrow, the risen Christ brings comfort to mourners, beauty for ashes, and praise for despair. Receive His peace, restoration, and joy.

    Let us pray:

    Redeeming Jesus, thank You for breaking through every wall of fear, grief, shame, and regret in my life. Fill my heart with Your hope, peace, and joy. Lift condemnation from my soul and set me free by Your love. Let Your presence heal every wound and restore what was lost. I trust You to cover my past, transform my present, and lead me with confidence into the future. My Redeemer lives. Amen.
