  • AI Salaries Are 56% Higher! How Women Can Break Into the Most In-Demand (And Highest Paid) Roles Right Now
    2026/03/29
AI salaries are 56% higher than the average. The demand is real. The opportunity is now. But women are being left behind. While companies are scrambling to hire AI talent and paying premium salaries, only 22% of AI roles are held by women. And the gap is widening. Here's what nobody's telling you: this isn't just about learning a tool. It's about positioning yourself for the most in-demand, highest-paid roles that are being created right now. And if you're waiting for permission, clarity, or the perfect moment to start, you're already falling behind. Welcome back to AI Ready Women, where Lou Compagnone, Director of Artificial Intelligence at Datacom, and I sit down with Katherine Boiciuc, CTO of EY Oceania, to talk about what's actually happening in the AI job market right now, and what it means for your career. This is a brutally honest conversation about the skills gap, the salary premium, and why women need to stop waiting and start positioning themselves for the future of work. ____________ ✨60 Day Bold Move Career Accelerator✨ Learn More here 👉 https://www.georgiehubbard.com/bold-moves ____________ Connect with Me: 🔵 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/georgiehubbard/ 🟪 Instagram: http://instagram.com/georgielhubbard ♦️Website: https://www.georgiehubbard.com ____________ Connect with Lou Compagnone: 🔵 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/loucompagnone/ ____________ Connect with Katherine Boiciuc: 🔵 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/katherineboiciuc/ ____________ In Today's Episode: 🟣 Why AI salaries are 56% higher on average, and how women can position themselves to access these premium roles right now. 🟣 The uncomfortable truth: Australia needs 200,000 more AI-skilled workers, and if women don't step up, we'll be importing talent instead of empowering our own. 🟣 Why XAI is paying Wall Street bankers $100 an hour to train Grok, and what this reveals about the value of human expertise in the age of AI. 🟣 The data quality crisis: why AI companies are hiring humans to teach models emotional intelligence, financial modelling, and real-world navigation, and what that means for your career. 🟣 Why 84% of Australians are using AI at work, but less than half have done any formal training, and why that's a massive risk. 🟣 The 60 30 10 model: why AI adoption at scale is 60% about people, 30% about data, and only 10% about the tools, and why most organisations are getting it backwards. 🟣 Why boring AI is where the real results are happening in enterprises: small language models, targeted agents, and task-specific automation that actually creates value. 🟣 The mindset shift from time management to energy management, and why saying "I don't have time" is actually saying "I'm choosing not to prioritise my career." 🟣 The democratisation of AI: why you no longer need to be a Silicon Valley engineer to build apps, create agents, or access world-class tech capabilities. 🟣 The 1996 chess match between Garry Kasparov and IBM Deep Blue: the 30-year-old signal we all missed about the future of human and AI collaboration. 🟣 Why women need to stop waiting for clarity, permission, or the perfect moment, and start building AI skills now before the opportunity passes them by. 🟣 The exact micro credentials and free training resources you can access today to start building your AI literacy and career confidence. ____________ If this episode resonated with you, reach out to KB, Lou, and me on LinkedIn. Let us know your biggest takeaway. Tell us what AI skills you're building. Share what micro-credentials you're working on. We want you in the room. The future belongs to the women who are ready for it. Let's make sure that's you. Georgie 💜

  • The AI LAYOFF CRISIS: What 1,600 Atlassian Jobs Tell Us About Your Career (And What to Do NOW)
    2026/03/22
You can't just rely on your organisation anymore. You can't just be loyal to one business. You have to take control of your career now. 1,600 people at Atlassian. 4,000 at Block. 2,000 at WiseTech. And that's just what made the headlines. The layoffs are happening. The headlines are terrifying. And if you're in the middle of your career right now, you might be wondering: Am I next? But here's what nobody's telling you: it's not that AI is replacing humans, it's that professionals who refuse to adapt are being left behind. Welcome back to AI Ready Women, where Lou Compagnone, Director of Artificial Intelligence at Datacom, and I sit down to talk about what's actually happening in AI right now, and what it means for your career. This is a brutally honest conversation about the signals you need to be paying attention to, the mindset shifts you need to make, and how to stop reacting to disruption and start becoming the architect of your own future. ____________ ✨Order The Bold Move✨ 📚 The Bold Move: https://www.theboldmovebook.com ____________ Connect with Me: 🔵 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/georgiehubbard/ 🟪 Instagram: http://instagram.com/georgielhubbard ♦️Website: https://www.georgiehubbard.com 🌀Pivotr: https://www.pivotr.com ____________ Connect with Lou Compagnone: 🔵 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/loucompagnone/ ____________ In Today’s Episode: 🟣 Why companies are cutting workers based on what AI could do, not what it's actually doing today, and what that means for you right now. 🟣 The truth about AI redundancy washing: 60% of executives surveyed said they've reduced headcount in anticipation of AI's future impact, not its current capabilities. 🟣 Why SaaS companies are at massive risk from AI disruption, and how everyday people are now building their own tools instead of paying for subscriptions. 🟣 The Atlassian layoffs: what the announcement revealed about how companies are communicating these decisions, and why the lack of empathy is damaging their reputation. 🟣 The anthropic report findings: which roles are most exposed to AI (computer programmers, customer service, data entry), and which are least exposed (cooks, mechanics, lifeguards). 🟣 Why mid career professionals, especially older, female, educated, and higher paid workers, are most at risk, and what you need to do about it. 🟣 The danger of vibe coding: why one developer described inheriting a vibe coded project as the new tech debt, and why companies still need skilled developers. 🟣 Why your permanent job is not stable anymore, and why you need to start thinking like an entrepreneur and building multiple income streams. 🟣 The exact strategies mid career women need to implement right now: activate your network, make your reputation your resume, and ensure your LinkedIn profile is set up for where you want to go, not just where you've been. 🟣 For younger professionals: why now is the time to experiment, build your network from day one, develop your personal brand, and double down on human skills like communication and sales. 🟣 Why you need to add AI fluency to stable growth areas like healthcare, law, education, sustainability, and trades, rather than just learning AI in isolation. 🟣 The three income stream model: outcomes based pricing, recurring revenue through subscriptions or advisory work, and IP based passive income. ____________ Why This Episode Matters: The world is changing. The jobs are changing. The skills that matter are changing. But you don't have to be a victim of this disruption. You can be the architect of your own future. This episode will show you how. It will give you the clarity, the strategies, and the mindset you need to stay ahead in the age of AI. Because the truth is, any time you're not actively positioning yourself for the future, you're quietly becoming invisible. And we refuse to let that happen to you. ____________ Your Next Step: If this episode resonated with you, reach out to Lou and me on LinkedIn. Let us know your biggest takeaway. Tell us what you're learning right now. Share what AI tools you're experimenting with and how you're positioning yourself for the future. And if you know an incredible woman working in AI, tech, or digital who should be on this podcast, send us her name. We want to amplify women's voices. We want representation. We want you in the room. The future belongs to the women who are ready for it. Let's make sure that's you. Georgie 💜

  • The 4 Most Expensive Career Mistakes Women Make (And Don't Notice Until It's Too Late)
    2026/03/16
You've got the experience. You've got the skills. You've put in the years. But here's the uncomfortable truth: if you're not actively positioning yourself for the future, you're quietly becoming invisible. If you're a mid to senior career woman with 15+ years of experience, there's a high chance you're playing smaller than you think. And I say that with love. I've spent 12 years in recruitment, and I've seen time and time again how incredibly capable women quietly hold themselves back. Not because they lack talent, but because of habits that feel responsible but end up costing them promotions, influence, and long term leverage. Women make up nearly half of the workforce, but at senior leadership level, that number drops dramatically. Globally, women hold roughly a third of senior management roles. And at CEO level? Under 10% in many markets. Here's what's keeping me up at night: men are applying for promotions when they meet around 60% of the criteria. Women wait until they meet all of it. And that gap compounds over time. Then you add AI into the mix. The World Economic Forum projects that millions of roles will be reshaped by automation in the next few years, and many of the most AI exposed roles are functions where women are heavily represented. This isn't about confidence. It's about making sure that as the market shifts, and it is shifting fast, you are not accidentally falling behind because of habits that once felt safe. The women who rise in the next era won't just be the hardest working. They'll be the most strategic. And the gap between strategic and reactive widens quickly. ____________ 🟣 Want to Work With Me?
