  • Part 6 - Metabolic Health Is True Wealth: A Conversation with Cynthia Thurlow
    2026/04/24

Today’s guest is Cynthia Thurlow, and if you’ve spent any time digging into fasting, metabolism, or women’s health, there’s a good chance you’ve come across her work.

Cynthia is a nurse practitioner with over 25 years of experience, but what really stands out is how she’s helping women rethink what’s possible, especially during perimenopause and menopause. Instead of accepting fatigue, weight gain, and hormonal chaos as “just part of aging,” she’s been a leading voice in showing how tools like intermittent fasting and lifestyle shifts can help women take back control.

She’s the host of the Everyday Wellness podcast, a widely recognized speaker, and her TEDx talk on intermittent fasting has reached millions around the world. She’s also got a new book coming out, The Menopause Gut, where she dives deeper into the connection between gut health, hormones, and overall metabolic health during this phase of life.

And I’ll say this from personal experience, I’ve learned a ton from Cynthia’s work, especially around the benefits of fasting and training your body to become more metabolically flexible. It’s been a game changer in how I think about energy, fat burning, and long-term health.

At the core of her work is a simple mission, helping women understand their bodies so they can stop guessing and start making decisions that actually move the needle.

This is a conversation about empowerment, metabolic health, and what it really looks like to work with your body instead of against it.

  • Part 5 - How Justine Roberts Reversed IBS, Raynaud’s, and Pre-Diabetes
    2026/04/17

Today’s guest is Justine Roberts, and her story is a powerful example of what can happen when you stop outsourcing your health, and start taking ownership of it.

Justine spent years dealing with chronic conditions like Raynaud’s syndrome, IBS, eczema, and even pre-diabetes, despite following what she thought were “normal” ways of eating. But when conventional approaches failed to give her real answers, she decided to dig deeper.

    What she discovered changed everything.

By shifting away from processed foods and a grain-heavy diet, and moving toward a more nutrient-dense, animal-based way of eating, her energy, digestion, and overall health began to transform. And what’s interesting is, once her body started getting what it needed, everything else followed. Movement became easier. Strength training became a passion. And eventually, she went from struggling with basic activity to becoming a competitive bodybuilder and national-level qualifier.

Now, she’s turned that journey into purpose, helping others, especially women, restore gut health, metabolic balance, and build sustainable habits that actually work.

This is a conversation about nutrition, ownership, and what can happen when you finally start giving your body what it’s been asking for all along.

  • Part 4 - Becoming Cancer’s Worst Nightmare with Ann McKeever
    2026/04/06

Today’s guest is Ann McKeever, and her story will challenge just about everything you think you know about cancer, prognosis, and what’s actually possible.

Nearly 30 years ago, Ann was diagnosed with late-stage liver cancer—and given about six months to live. She underwent a major liver tri-section surgery and months of chemotherapy… only later to realize it had spread to her lung, requiring yet another surgery.

Most people would have accepted the odds.

    Ann didn’t.

Instead, she made a decision—a decision to fully participate in her own healing. To partner with her body instead of surrendering to fear. And to become what she now calls “cancer’s worst nightmare.”

In this episode, we dive into the exact strategies she used—and still uses today—to build a body that disease can’t thrive in. From juicing and nutrient-dense foods like salmon, to rebounding for lymphatic health, deep breathing for oxygenation, sauna use for detoxification, and grounding, sunlight, movement, and stress reduction.

But more than anything, this conversation highlights a powerful pattern I’m starting to see across so many survivors—the willingness to take ownership, to question, to learn, and to make changes… even when it means going against the grain.

Ann’s story is one of resilience, responsibility, and possibility.
