    Lord Jesus, I want to establish a relationship with You. I want to get to know you so that I can experience the freedom from anxiety and from every evil thing that You died and rose from the dead to give me. I receive You now as my Savior and Lord.     LISTEN HERE. March 23, 2026 Your Identity in Christ TRANSCRIPT: Hello, and happy day. This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to Winning with the Word. Today, we’re going to be talking about a topic that is very dear to my heart, and it is your identity in Christ. Do you know that knowing and understanding and grasping your identity in Christ is foundational to living the abundant life that Jesus Christ died to give you? Yes, He died and rose from the dead so that you might have life and life more abundantly. Isn’t that what He said in John 10, verse 10? “I have come to give you life, and life more abundantly?” But if you look around, most Christians are not living the abundant life. They are living defeated lives, lives of anxiety, worry, fear, sickness, all kinds of evil things from which the Lord Jesus delivered us. But the key is that we have to learn first who we are in Christ, and then we have to learn how to live above the circumstances of life. That is the way Jesus lived when He walked the earth. And Scripture says, as He is, so are we. On this earth, we are like Jesus. We are to live as He lived, operate as He operated, according to the spirit and not to the flesh. But you see, my friend, most people do not live that way because they do not know who they are in Christ. Maybe you are one of them. I used to be one of them. But I got into the Word, and I began to see that I had believed some lies that were holding me back and keeping me from living the abundant life. So today we’re going to talk about how to live that abundant life. And it starts, first of all, with knowing who we are in Christ. If you have your Bibles, I’m going to read a passage from Psalm 139, which is a Psalm that David wrote. Godʼs Design And in that Psalm, there is a passage that starts at verse 13, and it goes to verse 18. And it is a foundational passage about who you are. I want you to read this and take it to heart. Listen carefully to what the Lord is speaking to you. As you read it, picture God speaking directly to you. I’m going to be reading from the New Living Translation. “You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. It is amazing to think about your workmanship. Your workmanship is marvelous and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion. You saw me before I was scheduled, or excuse me, before I was born, and you scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book. How precious it is, Lord, to realize that You are thinking about me constantly. I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I wake in the morning, You are still thinking of me.“ Let that sink in. Let’s go back and take this verse by verse. “You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb.” Do you know that God was there making you inside your mother’s womb? She was giving her body so He could create your physical body. But God was creating your spirit and your soul at the same time. He was putting together all those physical parts of your body in utter seclusion, it says, hidden from anyone else. It makes you look at a pregnant woman with a great deal of respect and honor and awe to think that inside of her, God is creating a human being into whom he breathed a spirit and a soul. And you were one of those human beings. God knit you together in your mother’s womb. He made you wonderfully complex. You’re a complicated person. I think you know that without my telling you. We are all complicated, aren’t we? There are so many parts of us. Just looking at the human body is amazing. My husband is a retired physician, and when we discuss the human body, it is fantastic.How God put it together. And for a physician who has studied the body and seen its inward parts, it’s even more stunning and awesome. “Your workmanship is marvelous, and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion. You saw me before I was born.” Do you know that God has always wanted to create you? You were in His mind before you were in your mother’s body. You were always in His mind because God is eternal. There is no time with Him. And the Word says here He scheduled each day of your life before you began to breathe. So you came with a ready-made calendar, right? God created and scheduled each day of your life. What does that mean? That means, as the Word says in another passage, that He ordained you to do good works every day of your life. He made you for a good purpose, to do good things. And He had it planned that way way back then. He had already planned for you to have days filled with good things, and for you to do good things every day. “Every day was recorded in Your book.” Do you know God has a book for you?     March 16, 2026 Hello and Happy Day! This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, Novelist and Life Coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, March 16, 2026, and this is episode #7 in Series 2026. A lot has been said recently about the return of Jesus Christ in the cataclysmic event called the Rapture. So much, in fact, that the fact that Jesus hasn’t returned yet has caused the mockers to increase in number and intensity. But just because Jesus hasn’t returned yet doesn’t mean He won’t. To think that His delay is permanent is deception, and it is where the great danger lies. For you see, my friend, Jesus Christ promised us that He would return. Before He went back to Heaven after His resurrection, Jesus said this to His followers: “In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14: 2-3). Since Jesus is God, He cannot lie. He will keep His Word. He will return. Let me be as clear and as simple as I can. The Bible prophesies the return of Christ in an earth-shattering event called the Rapture. Let’s read about this in 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17: “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.” After the Rapture, the Bible prophesies that a seven-year period of intense human suffering will come upon the earth. This seven-year period is called the Tribulation and will occur during the rule and under the rule of a man called the AntiChrist. Why is he called the AntiChrist? Because he will oppose everything the true Jesus Christ stands for and, in fact, the AntiChrist will attempt to replace Christ. The AntiChrist will proclaim Himself as God. Behind the AntiChrist will be Satan himself who will, in effect, use this man to perpetrate the worst horrors the world has ever known. Listen to what the Bible says about these horrors in the Message Translation where the AntiChrist is referred to as “the Anarchist:” 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-5 and verses 9-12 (The Message Translation): “Before that day comes, a couple of things have to happen. First, the Apostasy. Second, the debut of the Anarchist, a partner in crime with Satan. He’ll defy and then take over every so-called god or altar. Having cleared away the opposition, he’ll then set himself up in God’s Temple as God Almighty . . . The Anarchist’s coming is all Satan’s work. All his power and signs and miracles are fake, evil sleight of hand that plays to the gallery of those who hate the truth that could save them. And since they’re so obsessed with evil, God rubs their noses in it—gives them what they want. Since they refuse to trust truth, they’re banished to their chosen world of lies and illusions.” The Bible further describes the day of the Rapture in the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 1, verses 2 and 3. This is Paul writing: “You know as well as I that the day of the Master’s coming can’t be posted on our calendars. He won’t call ahead and make an appointment any more than a burglar would. About the time everybody’s walking around complacently, congratulating each other—“We’ve sure got it made! Now we can take it easy!”—suddenly everything will fall apart. It’s going to come as suddenly and inescapably as birth pangs to a pregnant woman.”Did you hear that, my friend? The day of Christ’s return will come as a huge surprise to those who are not looking for His return. Some translations describe his return as unexpected as the intrusion of a thief in the night.     How to Be Free of Anxiety

    March 9, 2026 Hello and Happy Day! This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, Novelist and Life Coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, March 9, 2026, and this is episode #6 in Series 2026. This episode is titled, “How to Be Free of Anxiety.” Before we get into our message, let me share a resource that will give you practical tools for getting free of anxiety once and for all. BREAKING THE MIND BARRIER (Print)BREAKING THE MIND BARRIER (eBook) And now let’s dive right into this week’s message: How to Be Free of Anxiety. Anxiety has reached epidemic proportions in the United States and, I would dare say, pandemic proportions throughout the world. People everywhere are complaining of feeling constant anxiety about their finances, their health, their families, their jobs, and their safety in this increasingly dangerous world. Many admit a strong undercurrent of anxiety continually present in their lives but don’t know what to do about it. If this describes you, then you are in the right place at the right time. Let’s take a look at anxiety: what it is, how it enters our lives, and what to do to get rid of it. WHAT IS ANXIETY? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, anxiety is defined as “apprehensive uneasiness or nervousness usually over an impending or anticipated misfortune.” Medically, Webster defines anxiety as “an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physical signs (such as tension, sweating, and increased pulse rate), by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one’s capacity to cope with it.” Sadly, many people today fit these descriptions. Perhaps you are one of them. If so, pay close attention because, by the power of God, you can be free of anxiety once and for all. HOW ANXIETY ENTERS OUR LIVES How do we become anxious? Anxiety has its ultimate roots in the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. When sin entered the world, anxiety and fear entered with it. As descendants of Adam and Eve, we are born inheriting their sin nature. Just as parents give to their children their physical genetic makeup, so did Adam and Eve give the entire human race their spiritual genetic makeup. Hence, as Scripture says in Romans 3: 23, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” And all of us, therefore, experience the effects of sin. In an individual’s life, anxiety enters through fearful experiences, like childhood trauma, death of a loved one, especially a parent, sexual abuse, and verbal abuse. Anxiety enters from stressful family situations over an extended period of time. Anxiety can be triggered by adverse health conditions, adverse financial issues, or adverse relationship challenges. Regardless of the cause, anxiety wreaks havoc in a person’s life. If not confronted, it can lead to serious forms of physical illness—like digestive and cardiac disorders—and mental illness—like agoraphobia, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other phobias. Anxiety is closely linked to fear. In fact, they have the same root. According to the Bible, that root is a demonic spirit called “the spirit of fear.” In 2 Timothy 1: 7, the Bible tells us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Fear does not come from God. It comes from Satan. And fear is always based on a lie because Satan is the “father of lies” (John 8: 44). Later, we will take a look at some of the lies that cause anxiety in our lives. But now, I want to explore the natural fear response in humans in the face of danger. God created man with a natural response to danger. This is normal and alerts us to protect ourselves when necessary. It is called the brain’s natural fear response. For example, we don’t cross the street when the a car is fast approaching. We wait until it passes or until the light turns green. Why? Because we have a built-in knowing that being hit by a car could kill us or seriously injure us. This is a healthful type of fear and is prompted by wisdom. But when the brain’s normal response becomes overly active, anxiety sets in. Anxiety has been called “an over-activity of the brain’s fear response.” LIES THAT CAUSE ANXIETY Anxiety is based on a lie. Discovering what those lies are in your own life is key to overcoming anxiety. Lies feed anxiety, especially lies relating to danger. For example, lies that deceive the brain into perceiving danger cause anxiety. Lies such as “bad things are going to happen to you,” or “you can’t handle this.” Believing these lies creates tremendous stress. Notice I said, BELIEVING the lies creates stress. As though you can’t go on another day? Have you been troubled by what’s going on in the world and, worse yet, even in your own family? If so, my friend, you are not alone. You may be wondering what is going on. Life isn’t the way it used to be. Something is different. Something has changed, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. All you know is that, lately, you’ve been feeling more anxious than usual, as though the world is falling apart, and you can’t do anything about it. If this describes you, you are at the right place at the right time. Let me shed some light on exactly what is happening and why you feel the way you do. First of all, you have good reason to feel these emotions. In fact, my friend, caring people everywhere are feeling them. Responsible, thoughtful people are feeling them. And for good reason. Let’s look at some of those reasons: 1. The world’s thinking has turned upside down. Good is now called evil, and evil is called good. The Bible warned us of this in Isaiah 5: 20: In that verse, the Lord warns those who no longer think straight. Here is what He says: “What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” While these upside-down thinkers may think they’re in good shape with their false thinking, they have a rude awakening coming. If you grew up before the 21st century, you still have some idea of the difference between right and wrong. Why? Because you were taught according to a Judeo-Christian consensus. Moreover, the society in which you grew up more or less still espoused a Judeo-Christian value system. But that is not the case today. Judeo-Christian values are blatantly and brazenly opposed with vehemence and, in many cases, with brutal violence. Christians are being persecuted like never before. Even here in America, we are witnessing increasing opposition to Christians and Jews who believe that the Holy Bible is God’s manual for life. 2. A second reason you are feeling anxious is that the world is being invaded by demonic forces that have been unleashed because of humanity’s increasing love for and obsession with sin. Never in my 80 years on this earth have I witnessed sin without shame as I am witnessing it today. Never have I seen sin celebrated as it is today. I grew up in the fifties and early sixties. Yes, there was sin, but there was also a stigma of shame attached to sin. People did not openly flaunt their sin but hid it because the culture disapproved of sin, and deep down, people knew they were sinning. Today, people proudly flaunt their sin and encourage others to sin with them. Listen to what the Bible predicted about this very behavior thousands of years ago. I’m going to read a passage from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapter 1, in the New Living Translation: “But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie.
