Popeye and the Pirates' Paradise あらすじ・解説

When trouble rolls into town, it doesn't drift—it marches.

A thick, unnatural fog descends upon the sleepy port town of Gullhaven, carrying with it a chilling menace: Starboard Stern, a jealous pirate lord whose bad intentions are eclipsed only by his terrible ideas. After months of masquerading as a charming boat salesman in a desperate, failed bid to win Olive Oyl’s hand, Starboard is finally exposed. And he isn’t leaving without her.

His spectacular failure at kidnapping ignites a chaotic chain reaction that sends Popeye the Sailor and the whole of Gullhaven spiraling into an adventure packed with more peril and pandemonium than a dozen cartoons combined.

Storm-tossed ships, mysterious islands, and monstrous sea creatures are only the beginning. Lurking beneath the waves is the true threat: the Sea Crone—a skeletal, seaweed-draped specter with eyes like embers, a century-old grudge against Popeye’s father, Pappy Oyl, and a thirst for vengeance that can only be quenched by destruction.

When Olive, the cowardly Castor Oyl, the fiercely loyal Harbor Kids, and half the town get swept into the madness, Popeye must rely on his unwavering grit, his cartoonish courage, and his trusty can of spinach (or, as he calls it, his "nitrate health boost") to stop the Crone and reclaim his friends.

From comical, fist-flinging brawls and slapstick escapes to heart-pounding danger on the open sea, Popeye and the Pirates’ Paradise brings the timeless spirit of the classic strips roaring back to life with all the charm, chaos, and "I yam what I yam" attitude fans love.

Because when Gullhaven is in danger and the fate of the Oyl family hangs in the balance... there's only one one-eyed, spinach-chomping sailor for the job.
